Build a 3D space, hang real museum artworks in it, and walk through it with friends, students, or the whole internet. This page covers the full path: create → customize → share → visit together.
Go to Galleries, sign in, and press Create. Give the space a name and pick a starting point:
New spaces start private — only you can enter until you make them public.
Inside the editor, search the collection — 790,000+ open-access works from the Met, Rijksmuseum, National Gallery of Art and more — and place any of them in your space. Every placed object can be moved, rotated and scaled with the on-screen gizmo, and Ctrl+D duplicates the selected object. The Scene Outliner lists everything you have placed, so nothing gets lost behind a wall.
You can also start from the artwork itself: every artwork page has an Add to Gallery button that hangs that work in one of your galleries and drops you into the editor to position it. 3D scans go further — Add to Gallery places the scan as an object, and Make a Gallery builds a whole walkable space around a scanned room in one click.
Beyond artworks, the editor places 3D text, videos (including YouTube), portals that teleport visitors between spaces, info points, chairs, and background music from the curated library or your own URL.
Open Global Controls to shape how the space feels:
.hdr file. The environment drives both the backdrop and how light falls on every surface.Press Save — visitors see exactly what you saved.
Flip the space to public and it appears in the Galleries listing; the Share button inside the space copies a direct link. Send it to anyone — no account is needed to visit, walk around, or chat.
Spaces are multiplayer by default: everyone with the link shares the same room, sees each other's avatars, and can talk. Controls inside a space:
