This dynamic folio from the *Razmnama*—the Persian translation of the ancient Indian epic *Mahabata*, commissioned by Mughal Emperor Akbar—captures a thrilling battle scene from the Kurukshetra War. Titled *"Fighting Arjuna, Sus Unleashes the Suparna which Invokes Garuda,"* it shows the heroic archer Arjuna locked in combat with Susarma, son of Trigarta's. As Susarma releases the celestial Suparna astram (weapon), the divine eagle Garuda materializes in a burst of power, swooping amid rearing horses, hurtling chariots, and fierce warriors.
