About this artwork
Featuring a globular mold-made body with three bands of geometric ornament (mostly concentric circles) in low relief, this pitcher could have been used for pouring water, wine, or other liquids. The separately made handle, decorated with four vertical ribs, is attached below the wide mouth by means of a coil.
