Ugo da Carpi’s *Wonderbare visvangst* (Miraculous Catch of Fish) captures the well-known biblical episode in which Christ directs his disciples to an abundant haul after a night of empty nets. Created in 1609 as a chiaroscuro woodcut measuring roughly 24 by 35 centimeters, the print translates this dramatic moment into a luminous play of light and shadow.
